10.12.2020 Hoffenheim – Gent – Review

Hoffenheim faces Gent at the PreZero Arena in a game from Group L of Europa League.
We believe this is going to be interesting game to discuss with you in our soccer
predictions for this week.
Hoffenheim already won this group. The German side is leading the standings with 13
points and they have 3 points advantage in front of the second Crvena Zvezda. They can’t
be overtaken anymore, so for Hoffe this is just a practice in their final game in this group.
Hoffenheim will try to finish unbeaten in Group L. So far the Germans have a record of four
wins and one draw – they are almost flawless. This draw came last week when Hoffe paid
a visit to Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian capital Belgrade. The game at the Rajko Mitic
ended with a 0-0 draw.
This game on Thursday is an excellent chance for Hoffenheim’s manager Sebastian
Hoeneb to test some young or backup players and check their capabilities in action.
Gent are one of the weakest teams in the Europa League group stage this season. We
expected much more from the Belgians, but right now they are 4th in the standings with no
points won so far. Gent will really want to forget this European campaign as quick as
possible and they will try to do better next season.
Last week Gent suffered their 5th consecutive loss in Europa League for the season. Wim
De Decker’s team hosted Slovan Liberec at the GHELAMCO-arena, but suffered a 1-2
defeat. Roman Yaremchuk scored Gent’s only goal in the game.
These our soccer predictions for this week for the Europa League game between
Hoffenheim and Gent at the PreZero Arena. For both teams this match can’t really change
anything, but we expect to see them making some effort to do well. Let’s see.
