It’s going to be really hot at the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday when RB Leipzig will host
PSG in a game from Group H of the Champions League. Here is our preview for this
match which is promising a lot of excitement.
It’s a curious fact that these two teams met in Champions League’s 1/2-finals just few
months ago. Maybe you remember, but PSG secured a win and qualified for the final in
Lisboa. For RB Leipzig this was a first time to reach the 1/2-finals of the competition. This
was a massive success for them.
For RB Leipzig this match comes in a difficult moment as the Red Bulls lost their last two
matches in all competitions – against Manchester United in the Champions League and
against Borussia M’gladbach in the Bundesliga. In these two games Leipzig didn’t score a
single goal and conceded six. This is a bad moment for Julian Nagelsmann and his
players, but also a great chance to bounce back against one of the best teams in Europe.
PSG are second in Group H with 3 points won so far. Thomas Tuchel’s team started its
season in the competition with a defeat, but last week they claimed a clear 2-0 win during
the visit to Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey. The new signing Moise Kean scored both goals
for the French team after the halftime break.
During the weekend PSG achieved another win in the Ligue 1. They faced Nantes away
from home and scored three times for a 3-0 win.
That’s our soccer predictions for this week for the Champions League fixture between RB
Leipzig and PSG. The German team is desperate for a positive performance, but against
PSG it’s always very difficult for any team. We still don’t write of the Red Bulls’ chances –
they can do a lot when they have their mojo working.
